So I know i'm really late posting this but basically Skye keeps me really busy and doesn't like to let me have a minute to get on my blog soooo since she's taking a quick nap I decided to hurry and get on. Anyway my first mothers day was great! I slept at my moms house and went to church with my family skye was suprisingly good! She just sat there and stared and smiled which isn't how she usually is in church so it was a great mothers day gift from her :]. The only part that was hard was she kept leaning forward and trying to grab the flower out of the little girls hair that was sitting in front of us haha. After church we had a nice dinner at my moms and we opened presents. It was a nice, relaxing day. Everyone was very helpful and kept offering to take Skye for me to give me a break. It was a a wonderful mothers day!

Since I have the best mom ever, I'd be in trouble if I didn't add a little something about her in here. My mom is my best friend. She is the one friend that hasn't given up on me and has always stuck by me. I have learned how to be a good mom from her. I kind of feel like my mom has been the other parent to Skye in a way. When i'm sick or tired or just need a break, she's the one who takes her. Another thing that I love about my mom is she is so easy to talk to and she always gives me good advice. She is always understanding and sincere. We can seriously laugh about anything, we just get each others sense of humor I guess. Thank you mom :] You're the best!

Bunco! Who ever said Bunco is only for old ladies was wrong! So about 4 months ago my friends and I started a bunco group and it's been great!!! We started out with about six people and we have just kept growing! It's been such a nice way to get the girls together once a month and catch up on gossip and what not haha, no but really it's been a nice break. Hopefully we'll continue it forever because I feel like I haven't been able to get out with my friends in a long time and it's been very needed. Anyway just thought i'd throw that out there cause I enjoy it so much! Love my girls :]

Skye update:
Well Skye now has two teeth. Teething was a horrible experience though, she was grumpy and she fought sleep and to top it off she was congested and ughh it was just a mess. Luckily she has grown out of that for now at least and she is back to sunny Skye. She pretty much hates baby food and only likes to eat grown up food the majority of the time which she gets plenty of that at my moms house. My mom feeds her all kinds of things she's not supposed to like ice cream and cookies etc. That could be why Skye is such a chunker. She was officially 8 months old on the 24th and she weighs about a hundred pounds...ok not really but she's got more to love let's just say that :] I love her rolls though. If I put a bracelet on her, her wrist eats it haha I love my baby girl. She has still yet to crawl, but she is doing really well at standing for a few seconds. She does good until she gets excited and tries to take a step and loses her balance. Maybe she'll learn how to walk before she crawls? Haha I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I love watching her learn new things! She is seriously at such a fun age! I'm loving every minute I get with her!

The last couple of days have been great! On Saturday May 1st, my mom took my sisters brandy, tori and myself to a "girls night" that they were having at the pleasant grove rec. When we first walked in it was pretty awkward i'm not gonna lie but after we found something we were interested in, it ended up being a blast! They had free massages, zumba, make up tips, food,they did our hair and we all got gel toes :] it was really nice spending the day with the girls.

As fun as the girls night was, the real fun started on Tuesday the 4th! My very thoughtful step dad flew my mom, brandy and me out to Vegas for the night! We didn't have a whole lot of time to do much but we were able to shop, get some dinner at T&T and go see the play the lion king! Ahh the play was AMAZING! The costumes were amazing, the voices were amazing, the characters were amazing, it was all just so perfect! After the play we were exhausted so we grabbed some starbucks and went back to the hotel. In the morning we got breakfast and Brandy gambled for the first time before we had to catch our plane. So the trip was short I know but hey it was just long enough to relax and feel refreshed but just short enough that I didn't have to be away from Skye for too long. What a great memoryy this will be :]

Yay! Today Skye put my finger in her mouth and guess what?!? SHE CUT HER FIRST TOOTH :] Ahh i'm so proud of my baby girl.

I swear I feel like Skye has been teething since she was 5 months old. I can't believe how fast she's grown though. Time seems to pass a lot faster when you have a baby. I guess it's a good thing though because it helps you appreciate each moment you have with them. She's already 7 months old :[ it seems like just yesterday I was putting my cell phone on my tummy and watching her move around in my belly.

Another new thing Skye has recently learned is how to sit up all by herself. She doesn't have to have any support at all anymore. I guess she learned it a few weeks ago but still she's gotten so good at it! What a big girl!

We got Skye a high chair finally since she's eating baby food now. She loves it! I put her in it when I am cleaning the house too and she sits there and watches me and pounds her hands on the table. It's crazy how the simplest things make babies happy.

I taught Skye how to stick her tongue out and spit. It's the funniest thing! She does it all the time now and it cracks me up, except when i'm trying to feed her and she does it and the food goes everywhere.

The Family

Exciting news! Brandy and Quinn are engaged!!! Their wedding date is set for June 16, 2010. Yay i'm so excited for them. Our family adores Quinn, she couldn't of found a better guy! Congrats Brandy and Quinn!
Todd- He's in Florida workin his butt off at starbucks,why is that not suprising that he works there?! I miss him like crazy, we really had a great time together when I flew out to visit him in September. I'm excited that him and Spencer will be coming out in June for the wedding though.
Tyler and Tori- They got cell phones for their 15th birthdays. As exciting as it is for them, it's driving me nuts. Tori doesn't know how to hold a normal conversation with a human being anymore. She's constantly texting and pauses in between sentences to finish a text. I guess that's all just part of being a normal teenager though right?
Mom and Chuck- Four years ago from this month, mom and Chuck met and went on their first date. It's crazy how fast time has gone, but at the same time it's hard to remember life with out chuck. Even though Chuck has some pretty corny jokes, i'd have to say my mom couldn't of found a better guy! Who in their right mind would take on the responsibilty of 5 children with so many problems?!
Dad- My dad just bought a new house! He had been looking like crazy for the perfect house and then finally things just kind of fell into place and he got the house of his dreams. Skye and I were fortunate enough to move into his basement. It's like out own little basement apartment down there! I know my dad can't wait for all the yard work he has to look forward to.
Travis, Kristy, Myles and Mayzie- Travis got accepted to the police academy! We're so excited for him, he's been working really hard to get into it. The two kids are growing like crazy Mayzie has a mouth full of teeth and Myles has got quite the little personality. Travis and Kristy are sure doing a good job!
Chuck and Amy- Not too long ago they bought a house here in Utah! Neither of them work for Disney anymore which would be hard I imagine but I think they're settled here now with their new jobs and beautiful house. It's nice to have them close by so they can come to family events.

Skye's blessing

On March 7th, Skye was blessed by my step dad Chuck. It was seriously a great blessing! I haven't felt the spirit so strong in a long time. Skye was her usual self talking away in the microphone the whole time. It was definitely a great day!

Growing with Skye

I LOVE being a mom! Skye truly gives me purpose and makes everyday worth living! I was scared that I wasn't going to be a good mom, but I feel like I have grown with Skye and learned as I go. My baby girl is perfect, i'd say i'm doing a pretty good job. Skye has got such a little personality now. She exhagerates everything! Every cough, sneeze, scream etc. She cracks me up! Skye has learned how to mock me. If I stick my toungue out at her she does the same, if I smack my lips, so does she, if I scream she screams louder. She's hillarious. She is also trying to crawl, well scoot. She sticks her butt up in the air and pushes. Most of her attempts just result in her rolling over though.
